The following obituary appears in Denis’ words, prior to his passing:
“The COOLEST Dude Died in Concession”
“Denis [Pana] Boudreau – Age 58 of Concession, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 with his family by his side. He was the only son of the late Maurice and Edith (Theriault) Boudreau of Concession.
He had quit school at the age of 16 because his father had passed away – so he had to help out his mother. His first job was to work at the mink ranch in Little Brook. He worked there for a couple of years until they went out of business, then he went to work at Comeauville Fisheries for one summer. Then when COLINE CAMPBELL was in power she had sent him out a tamplet in the mail. Inside the tamplet there was ‘Are you looking for a summer job … please call this number’ so on that Monday morning he had a job with the Department of Highway, burning branches in Margo. That was one summer.
Then he went to go work with the Garbage Thibodeau Garbage Pick Up; that was a 3 year contract. Then he went to go work at Comeau Sea Food in the herring plant; that is where he met Ruby. Then he worked at JL LeBlanc Hog Farm in Cocession until he got hurt and had an operation. Then he went back to work at JL Leblanc for 5 years, then he got hurt again and this time he had Disability so he could not work again. Then he joined The Knights of Columbus 3648 in Comeauville. He was a 4th Degree member which he was a very proud member of!
Denis was a Happy GO LUCKY GUY everybody who knew him knew he could make anybody laugh. He was LOUD and funny at times.
Denis leaves behind his wife, Ruby; and three daughters, Denise (Michel), Dianne, Robin (Michael); two sisters, Estelle (Ernest) Jeddry, St. Martin; Mariette (Barney) Boudreau, Church Point; grandchildren, Jayden, Christopher, Carson.
He was predeceased by an infant sister, Edna; and his grandparents, Leonise and Gustave LeBlanc, and Theophile and Edith Boudreau.
Now flowers, he did love flowers, so he wants lots of them. All kinds! You can go buy them at the Dollar Store to put on his grave.”
