Always Loved…. Never Forgotten…. Forever Missed
It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Donaldson on March 8th in Calgary, Alberta, at the South Health Campus Hospital at the age of 69. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Julie Donaldson, daughters Colette (Bill) Battensby, Cherra (Randy) Duquette, Kellsie (Ryan) Boydell and grandchildren Makenna and Kole Duquette, mother Venita Donaldson, brothers Duane (Wanita) Donaldson, Dallas (Susan) Donaldson and so much more family that loved him dearly.
Darrell was predeceased by his father, Robert Lynn Donaldson.
Darrell was born in Radway, Alberta, on May 7th, 1950, to parents Lynn Donaldson and Venita Donaldson. He was the middle brother to Duane and Dallas Donaldson.
Darrell spent most of his working life in the oil patch, thus spending time all over the world.
Darrell loved Nascar like no other and had dreamed of one day going to watch it in person! He liked BBQing on his Traeger and him, and Julie liked grabbing a coffee at McDonald’s watching cars and people go by. He liked to tease Julie and have a good laugh! His girls fondly remember the camping, the fishing and the laughs they all had with each other. He taught his girls how to change oil, change tires, and how to fix things when he couldn’t be there to help. The girls and Julie travelled the world with Darrell’s work and were lucky to see and try new things.
He will be dearly missed.
