Passed away peacefully at his home in Paris, Ontario, on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Connie (nee Linton). Loving father of Byron (Colleen), Kevin (the late Patti), Dana Gabel (Wayne) and Christina Clarke (Jordan). Cherished Grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Llewellyn Hubert and Annabella Coates (nee Hough)
We learned many things from Dad. Here are our favourites. Go for a drive, preferably with your arm out the window. Stop for a coffee and a chat, meet friends and make new ones. Enjoy an adventure. Volunteering is important. Give of yourself to help others. Have a creative outlet. Ice Cream is a food group.
Honoring Dan’s requests cremation has taken place and for all to remember him in your own special way.
