Obituary of Cynthia Anne Payne
PAYNE- Cynthia Anne (nee McGee) of Iona Station passed away at the University Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Friday, January 10, 2020 at the age of 58. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband Mike; by her children Shawn Payne of Iona Station, Cody Payne of St. Thomas, and Shay Payne (Merrick Davis) and their daughter Gabriella of London; by her father Allan McGee of Belmont; her brother Allan McGee of Belmont; by her siblings-in-law Janice (John) Dewitt of Chatham, Arden (Barb) Payne of St. Thomas, and Beven Payne of Calgary; and by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her mother Shirley McGee and her sister Vicky McGee. Cynthia began her career as a teller at Scotiabank and eventually worked her way to Assistant Manager. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Interment of ashes will take place in Pinehill Cemetery, Thedford on Friday at 1:30 pm. If desired, donation to LHSC-University Hospital would be appreciated.
