It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Cora Lapstra surrounded by family on December 10th, 2020, in her 84th year. Cora Lapstra was predeceased by her loving husband Meindert (Mack) Lapstra and parents Benjamin and Ida Hillier. Loving mother of Brant (Moria), Ben (Lorelle). Proud and loving Nanna to five beautiful grandchildren Brittany (Ryan), Brandon (Anne), Jenna, Megan & Krista. Adoring great-Nan to Bryson and Rayleigh. Loving sister to George (Jessie), Carrie (Ches), Lovey (Lance) & Olive (Eli) and the extended Lapstra family. She leaves behind an abundance of nieces and nephews, and was fondly known as “Coco” or “Nan” to so many.
Cora was born on Brunette Island, Newfoundland where the family was later resettled to Grand Band, she later moved to Toronto where she met her soulmate Mack. Together they built a beautiful cottage which will be treasured by the family for years to come. Cora had a beautiful, dynamic personality and the most amazing quit-wit and sense of humour, the stories fill our hearts with so much joy and laughter. We will miss her always but she will be in our thoughts forever.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke, Lung Association or Cancer society in her honour.
