Memorial Donation
On Monday January 13, our hearts were deeply saddened and our lives changed forever as our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and friend Christopher Wade Farrell passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 years. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife Jennifer Farrell (nee Francis) of 22 years, his children; Brittany Farrell, Christina Farrell and Brady Farrell. He also leaves behind the apples of his eye, grandchildren Logan Best and Lily Best. He will be fondly remembered and forever missed by his brothers and sisters; Ronnie Farrell of Halifax NS, Ellie Edmunds (Eddie) of Corner Brook, Sharon Caines (Leo), Randy Farrell (Juanita) all of Halifax NS. He will forever remain in the hearts of his in laws; Jeremy Harvey (Leann) of Sydney NS, Anthony Harvey (Becky) of Oxford NS, Penney Turner (Pete) of Glovertown NL. As a loving and kind uncle, Christopher was very close to a few special nieces and nephews He shared a special bond with Cassie, Kaylee, Mason, Aiden, Brooklyn, Kaden, and Terry. He will also be sadly missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Alice Farrell, his beloved daughter and guardian angel Kayla Farrell, his brother Gerald Farrell Jr. (Skippy), his in laws; Douglas and Elizabeth Harvey and Jennifer’s grandmother Martha Elizabeth Francis who thought of Christopher as her own. Christopher was an avid Boston Bruins fan and he was in the zone while watching them play. He believed in helping others and was very involved in his community and helped in any fundraising event that he could and he did much work for the local Salvation Army of which he was very proud. He was literally the take his shirt off his back kind of guy to give to someone to stay warm and it made him feel good to be so kind and giving. His ever quiet presence and his generous heart will be sadly missed by anyone who was blessed to have him in their lives.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road. A celebration of Christopher’s life will take place on Sunday January 19, 2 pm at the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bay officiated by Lieut.
