Chester Alexander Hickey
1928-2020
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Chester A. Hickey
of Oromocto Lake, NB on September 24, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital. Chester was born on August 23, 1928 at Waterville, York
Co., NB, a son of the late W. Wilson and Arvilla (Stairs) Hickey. He
worked for CP Rail for 43 years.
In his younger years, Chester worked in the woods and drove truck
beside his father. He loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, drive his 4
wheeler and go boating on Oromocto Lake. He loved it when the kids or
grandkids showed up at the lake to go for a ride on the jet ski or the
boat. It was always a competition to see who could catch the biggest
fish. He and Marjorie spent many hours in the sunporch, putting
puzzles together or just watching the lake.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Marjorie (Burpee) Hickey; his
children, Dennis Hickey (Odette), Smithtown, NB, Carter Hickey
(Sharron), Westfield, NB, Patricia Sellars (Roy), Grand Bay, NB,
Kendall Hickey (Lynn), and Nadine Noel, both of Saint John, NB; ten
grandchildren, Tanya (Michael), Tracy, Lee, Rebecca (Christian),
Jordan (Jessica), Robyne (Matthew), Melissa (Justin), Morgan (Sean),
Denver and Mitchell; ten great grandchildren, Jenna, Emily, Paige,
Brooke, Lincoln, Theodore, Timothy, Abigail, Wyatt and Ava; three
sisters-in-law, Lorraine Hickey, Joyce Mason (Arlo) and Avis Burpee;

Boris; a son-in-law, Michael Noel; a grandson-in-law, Shane Wright;

Harry), Lena Saunders (late Donald), Mary Ingraham (late Hazen) and
