Cesira Gatti passed away peacefully in her home on December 24, 2020 at the age of 57 after a long battle with breast cancer. Cesira will forever be remembered by her children, Garry, Stefan, Lorenzo, and Racquel and by her brother and sister, Silvestro and Luísa. Cesira will also be remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Cesira Gatti was a dedicated and loving mother who taught her children to be strong-minded, independent, and successful through perseverance. Cesira made great efforts to make sure her children were happy, and always made her children a priority by having family time arranged with many outings, frequent family trips, and spent time with each of her children individually. Cesira had a passion for cooking and sports, that she passed on to her children.
Cesira was also a career-driven women. She graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors specializing in Accounting. Her dedication and passion for her work led her to be very successful at a young age. While raising four children, Cesira received a designation from the Charted Accountants of Ontario (CPA/CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) institute. She worked at several large prominent firms and organizations such as KPMG, Auditor General of Ontario, Ontario Securities Commission and retired after working as a VP of Finance at Gluskin Sheff.
Memorial donations in memory of Cesira can be made to the National Catholic Broadcasting Council. The Gatti Family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.
