Cecil’s Obituary
Williamson, Cecil Arnold- 92, Sable River, passed away at Roseway Manor on July 23, 2020. Born in Sable River on August 8, 1927, he was a son of the late Alvin and Minnie( Kaulback) Williamson. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, sister Aretta ( Williamson/ Nickerson) Simpson, and foster sister Gladys Laidlaw. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laura( Lutz) Williamson, of Lake George, Kings County; his three sons, Richard (Pat); Donnie (Donna); David (Kimberly); daughters, Audrey Williamson (Francis) and Patsy Williamson (Joey) and a nephew, Maurice Nickerson. There are 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Cecil retired from the Department of Highways as a snow plow operator. Previous to that he worked for many years with Harlow Construction driving gravel and cement trucks. Cecil’s passion was working in the woods, cutting firewood for his family, spending time on his property, working around and fixing old cars and tractors. In later years he enjoyed sitting out beside his house in the evening with Laura and whittle with his jackknife. Arrangements are under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home , Shelburne where a visitation will take place on Sunday evening, July26 from 7-9 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, July 27 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Dooks officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Roseway Manor in Cecil’s memory. The family would like to thank Roseway Manor Staff and Dr. Riley for all of Cecil’s care during his stay. Also thanks to Huskilson’s Funeral Home for their support at this time.
