Catherine’s Obituary
ROSS, Catherine Edith – 81, South Side, passed away on July 17, 2020 at home. Born at South Side on October 22, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Wellington and Gertrude (Townsend) Cox. Catherine was a great cook and made sure her grandchildren always had fudge and a cake on their birthdays. She was a wonderful quilter and enjoyed making quilts for her family. She also enjoyed watching birds and was invested in genealogy; it was obvious that family was very important to her. She was also the treasurer for the White Lily Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Edith Ross; daughter-in-law, Cindy Ross; grandchildren, Philip (Amanda), Graham (Corinne), Thomas; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, Ethan, Emilee; sisters, Myrna Cox, Krysteane (Gary) Rapp, Adelle (Bobby Dale) Atkinson, and Donna (Ronnie) Goodwin. Besides her parents she predeceased by her husband, Sterling Ross; children, Kathy, a son in infancy, John, Carroll; siblings, Lorraine, Brian, and Georgina. A private family graveside will take place in the White Lily Cemetery where she will be interred. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the White Lily Cemetery or the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund. Online condolences may be sent to huskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
