Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of C. Helen Crandall, loving wife of the late Lloyd “Bud” Crandall, announces her unexpected passing on Monday December 21, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Helen was born December 9, 1934 in Chipman, NB to the late Harry and Marie (Steeves) Pace. Helen was a teacher for many years with the province of NB and was a lifetime member of the NB Home & School. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Paul Petryshen (Tracy McKay-Cooper) of Saint John; daughter Kimberley Fennell (Wilbur) of Saint John; step children Scott Crandall (Bronwyn) of Carter’s Point, Brett Crandall (Linda) of Maple Ridge, BC and Susan Crandall (the late David Wright) of Halifax; sisters Mildred Prevost (Vaughan), Irene Kittel (the late James) and Doreen Hotchkiss (Len) all of Kitchener, ON; sister-in-law Irene Pace (the late Douglas) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren John, Alisha and Kristen Petryshen, Judson, Caleb and Wren Crandall; great-grandchildren Dreyson, Preston, Daphne, Austin, Callie and Onyx; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her stepson Clyde Crandall and sisters Ruth Carr and Clara Ricketson and brother Douglas Pace.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Monday December 28, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 11am. Interment will follow in Harding’s Point Cemetery. Due to public health’s pandemic restrictions and to maintain everyone’s safety: masks are mandatory, physical distancing will be respected and capacity will be limited during the funeral and time of visitation. We ask that you call and register (646-2424) or RSVP through our online obituary on the website.
For those who are unable to attend the service, you are invited to watch the service live streamed on the Fundy Funeral Home website, at time of service. Donations in her memory may be made to the Gideons, Salvation Army or the charity of one’s choice.
