Smith, Brian ‘Smitty’ – It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Brian Smith ‘Smitty’ at the age of 63 years, on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Temiskaming Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends…
Brian was born in London, Ontario on July 6, 1956 to the late Edward Spencer Smith and the late Leona Mary Bosselle. Also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Ileen and Jack William’s, his granddaughter Hope Wright and sister in-law Glenda Smith.
Brian is survived by his wife Valerie Joy William’s Smith of 42 years, his loving children Sarah (Julian) Natalie (Jon) Chad (Claudia) and William; his 8 cherished grandchildren Haiven, Mackenzie, Faye, Kobe, Spencer, Sawyer, Pyper Lynne and Fisher. Brian is also survived by his loving siblings Judy, Jannette (Mike), Lynn (Paul); his brothers-in-law Brian, John, Gordie, Freddy and Dennis; his sisters-in-law Carol, Patricia Marie and Carol as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends you know who you are.
Brian was a great man with lots of energy, a strong will for life. He will be remembered for his love for his «Rock» Val, his loving children and cherished grandchildren. He was a great outdoors man who loved fishing with his family and friends and had many stories to tell, especially about the one that got away…he loved the sport of baseball and hockey. In doing so Brian left countless memories and stories with his family and friends that will live through us all for ever and always. Brian’s devotion to provide for his family led him to mining all over Northern Ontario. Through training and schooling combined with hard work Brian left an ever lasting impression on everyone who graced his presence.
Brian’s last wishes were to be remembered for his ever lasting memories left upon us and to celebrate his life at a later date…
