The Lord called Ann home January 14, 2020 to be with her husband Ernest (Buddy), young son David, and two grandsons John and Dax, brother Gordon and her mother Irene Nicholas. Ann was a Loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Ann leaves behind to keep her memory alive, her sisters Eileen (Steve), and Madge, her children Donald, Patricia (Larry(, Robert, Bonnie (Floyd), Kenneth (Danielle), Michael, and Andrew (Denise).Grandmother of David, Jennifer, Conor, Jessica, Shannon, Michael, Tina, Sidney, Riley, Rebecca, Brianna, Andrea ,Nicholas, as well as 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Whitney February 28, 1938. She loved telling stories about the history of Whitney, the families who lived there, and the fun and the sad times. Most of all, she enjoyed her time spent with the CWL and the Whitney St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church. Ann was very well known and respected in the community, and she did a lot of volunteer work within the community. She worked at the Post Office, also at Lake of Two Rivers in Algonquin Park. She was always gathering information about the history, even helping arrange a school reunion that was a huge hit a few years back. Ann’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 941 Post St., Whitney) on Tuesday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Malachy Ekezie presiding. Cremation will follow, with spring interment at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Cemetery, Whitney. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Francis Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
