BELLAMY, Krystyna “Christine”
June 20, 1949 — August 12, 2020
Krystyna Bellamy went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2020, at the age of 71. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to many. Krystyna was born June 20, 1949, in Topola, Poland. She immigrated to Canada with her family when she was turning 16 years old. Krystyna grew into a beautiful, vibrant woman who could do anything she set her mind to. She excelled in everything she did whether it was as a hairstylist, banker or personal injury insurance sales. Later becoming a massage therapist and helping others brought her joy and satisfaction. But her greatest accomplishment was in the spring of 2019 when she published her first book “Never Young”. One of her greatest disappointments was not being able to publish her second book “Never Free” this spring. She was really looking forward to doing that. Krystyna was also an accomplished alcohol ink artist.
In the spring and summer Krystyna enjoyed golfing with her husband Lyle and many friends, and in the winter she enjoyed skiing with her husband and many friends. She retired in the fall of 2016 which gave her more time for writing and her art. Krystyna and Lyle also began camping with their trailer taking time for site seeing, golf and a new interest, fishing with their oldest son and daughter-in-law. Again she made many more new friends and touched more lives.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to know her, we truly met one of God’s remarkable creations. We will truly miss her.
Near the beginning of July this year Krystyna was told that she had two rare and fast growing brain stem tumours. On the evening of August 12, 2020, Krystyna slipped out the arms of her husband Lyle and into the arms of the Lord. No more pain and no more tears.
She will be missed by her loving husband of 29 years, Lyle; her sons Collin Mayo (Marion) and Trevor Mayo (Sandra); her stepdaughter Nia Bellamy (Howard King); her 4 granddaughters Taylar Maas, Tessa (Matt) Zuccollo, Diane (Kris) Keenan, and Atli Heitzmann (Grant MacMillan); and her 4 great-grandchildren Kaiden, Aspen, Weston, and Liam. She also leaves behind her sister Josephine (Les Leyen) Kula-Leyen and brothers Stan Kula and Jim Kula; her niece Jesika and nephews Ryan and Ethan; as well as many dear friends from around the world. Christine was born to Jozef and Gabriela Kula who both predeceased her.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Christine with Pastor Cameron Strutters officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it will be by invitation only. However, the family would like to invite all who would like to pay their respects to join by livestream on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 10:00 am. To view the Livestream see the link below.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, donate.salvationarmy.ca, for their many outreach programs.
