It is with deep sadness that the
family of the late ANNE T. SLANEY of St.
Lawrence announces her passing. Anne passed away at the U.S.
Memorial Health Centre, St. Lawrence on Sunday, February
2nd, 2020 at the age of 75.
Leaving to mourn with a
lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Roy of 54 years; sons,
Roy Slaney Jr. (Shyla) of Coronach, SK, Dale Slaney of St. Lawrence,
Kirk Slaney (Lorelei) of St. Lawrence, and Chris Slaney (Melissa) of
Mount Pearl; daughters, Ruth Slaney (Rodney Power) of St. Lawrence,
Rhonda Slaney of Marystown, Yvette Slaney of Mount Pearl, Flora Slaney
(Shawn Power) of St. Lawrence, Diane Kelly (Rod) of Fort McMurray, AB,
Dana Slaney (John Day) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Anita Slaney of Grand
Prairie, AB; 21 grandshildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Ted
Clarke (Margaret) of Little St. Lawrence, sisters, Ellen Clarke of
Kilbride, Joan Clarke of Little St. Lawrence, Barbara Clarke of Little
St. Lawrence, Vera Etchegary (Kevin) of St. Lawrence, Patricia Squires
(Greg) of Little St. Lawrence, and Yvonne Chipman (Jeff) of Torbay;
sister-in-law, Audrey Clarke of St. Lawrence; plus a large number of
family and friends.
Anne was predeceased by
her parents, Casmier & Vivian Clarke; sisters, Leona Stacey,
Yvonne Clarke and Vivian Clarke; brothers, Casmier, Ron, Richard and
Ren Clarke; and brothers-in-law, James Flynn and James
Stacey.
The Slaney Family will be accepting
visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on
Tuesday, February 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00
p.m. with a prayer vigil being held at 7:00 p.m.; and Wednesday,
February 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman
Catholic Church, St. Lawrence on Wednesday, February
5th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will
follow at Mount Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, St.
Lawrence.
In Anne’s memory donations
may be made to the St. Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department or flowers
gratefully accepted.
