Obituary of Alexander McDougall
After a long battle with cancer, Sandy has finally found his resting place. He died peacefully on Sunday, August 9th, 2020 at Chapman House Hospice, his home away from home, in his 84th year. Sandy’s greatest pleasures came from his family, home and fishing on his boat in Georgian Bay. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie McDougall (nee Henkel) and daughters, Debbie Byl (Dennis) and Christine Derksen (Ron). His treasured family also included his much loved grandchildren, Erin (Matt), Jennifer (Derek), Jonathan and Heather (Lenny). He also had the pleasure of enjoying four great-grandchildren, twins Molly and Mason, Norris and Hannah. Lovingly remembered by many others in his extended family. It was Sandy’s wish to have a private family gathering at his home in our treasured garden. Appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Chapman House nursing staff, doctors and volunteers.
