Obituary of Agnes Annie Ottmann
Agnes Ottmann of Regina, SK, formerly of Wadena, SK, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was born on January 23, 1929 to parents Kasey and Mary (Kozak) Moskowy on the family farm south of Oakshela, SK. Agnes was predeceased by her parents; her husband Wes; her brothers, Martin, Teddy, Tony, Edmund (Joe), John, Laurence; and her sisters, Rose and Elizabeth (Isabelle). Agnes is survived by her sister Louise Lindberg, Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Marion Moskowy, Milestone, SK; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews living throughout western Canada, Nashville, TN and Beijing, China. After finishing high school, Agnes searched for employment and found it with SaskTel where she worked for 35 years as supervisor of the Wadena office before being transferred to Regina where she concluded her career at SaskTel’s head office. She met her future husband, Wes upon his discharge from active service with the Royal Canadian Navy following the end of World War II. They were married in July 1955 and together, they operated Ottmann Meats in Wadena. In 1982, Wes and Agnes sold Ottmann Meats and retired to a newly built lakefront home at Fishing Lake where they enjoyed frequent visits and happy hour socializing with friends. Agnes’s wide range of interests included curling, golfing, gardening, traveling, baking, making soups and canning. She was an active volunteer with the Order of the Eastern Star, Wadena Health Care, Legion Auxiliary, and with the Hockey and Curling Rink Auxiliary. Agnes will be remembered as a kind soul and for her giving nature in caring for others. A Celebration of Life for Agnes will be held this spring in Wadena, SK at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Parish.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Agnes
