PETER AARSEN of Coalhurst, our beloved husband, father, Opa, and Opie, went to be with his Lord and Saviour on December 20, 2020 at the age of 93 years.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Clazina and their children: son Peter (Kelly) Aarsen of Kelowna, B.C and their children Eliesje (Derek) Hummelman of New Westminster, BC, Candace (John) Broekema of Kelowna, BC, Peter James (Wendy) of Smithers, BC, Selena (Jonathan) Hall, of Smithers, BC and Reuben (Alana) of Barrhead, AB; daughter Leny (John) Schalk of Coalhurst, AB and their children: Andy (Kristyn) of Spruce Grove, AB, Gene (Cheryl) of Coalhurst, AB, James (Cheremi) of Coaldale, AB, Nadyne (Sean) Alaric of Coalhurst, AB, and Cora Taylor of Coalhurst, AB and her children: Carlee and Chad. Peter is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and brother Hank (Sylvia) of BC, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his parents and infant son in the Netherlands, as well as his infant great granddaughter, and son-in-law Richard Taylor.
Peter was born on August 31, 1927 in the Haarlemmermeer, Noord Holland, the Netherlands.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 P.M, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM with Rev. John van Eyk officiating. Both the Graveside and the Memorial Service will be live streamed and may be accessed via Peter’s obituary on the Cornerstone website at their respective times.
