Carolyn Enid Demmings
1941-2020
Carolyn Enid Demmings, 79, of Lower Coverdale went to be
with her Lord and Saviour on December 25th, 2020.
She passed away unexpectedly at the Moncton Hospital with her
loving family by her side.
Carolyn was born in Moncton on January 6, 1941 the daughter
of the late Leslie and Freda (Ricker) Crossman.
She worked at T. Eaton Company in her early years. She met
the love of her life , Lee, and became a wonderful wife and mother who
took great pride in raising her family. Her Lord and
family were her main priorities. She was a devoted
Christian lady who took on all roles when serving her
Saviour. She taught Sunday School, served on several
committees and was always willing to help out in any way she
could. She was a member of the Lower Coverdale Baptist
Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and
friends. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her
reason for living was her family and she loved them all very
much. Her grandchildren really were the light of her
life. She was very grateful for the blessing of her family
as they were committed to her well being as she struggled
with Alzheimers. Her husband’s care was unwavering as he was
her main caretaker. She thoroughly enjoyed the
drives in the country and all the weekly outings.
She will be remembered for her sweet smile and kind and
gentle ways. She would be glad to be celebrating Jesus’
Birthday with him this year.
« We love you and you will live in our hearts
forever. »
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Lee
Demmings; daughter, Natalie Fidler (Jon) of New Maryland; sons, Allen
Demmings of Moncton and Shane Demmings (Venessa) of Cornwall, PE; her
precious grandchildren, Rebecca, Jonathan, Alex, Selena,
Zachary, Camden and Reilly; sisters, Lorna Dunfield (Gordon) of Upper
Coverdale, Brenda Demmings (Gary) of Dawson Settlement, Elaine Eagles
of Riverview; brother, Wayne Crossman of Upper Coverdale and
sister-in-law, Kim Bourque (Louis) of Moncton. She will also
be missed by several nieces, nephews and by her special friend, Connie
and by all her church family and friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Iva
Frazee (James).
Due to COVID restrictions there will be a private
visitation for immediate family only. A Memorial Service and
Celebration of her life will be held at a later date when we can all
join together.
For those who wish donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or
to the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church (Road to River Fund) would be
greatly appreciated by the family.
