BIRD, Sarah “Sally” Veronica (nee Scholar)
April 16, 1935 – December 14, 2019
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Sarah “Sally” on December 14, 2019 at Algoma Manor in Thessalon. She passed peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 84. She is now reunited with her loving husband Glen “Bud”. Caring Mother of David (Heather) and Randall (Cindy). Proud Grandmother of Tammy (Rob), Jordan (Katie) and Jason (Nancy) and Great Grandmother of Jayme and Logan Berry, Benjamin and Riley Bird and the late Everly May Bird. Survived by sister Fredda Roy and sister in law Shirley Bird. Predeceased by her siblings Margaret (the late John), Daniel (the late Pat) and Theresa (the late Earl). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Algoma Manor for their care during our Mother’s illness and short stay.
Donations to The Alzheimer’s Society or the Algoma Manor are gratefully accepted and appreciated by the family.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Beggs Funeral Home, 175 Main Street, Thessalon on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11am until time of service at 1pm with Mrs. Leah Carson officiating.
