Obituary of Ruth Ellen Boyce
December 31, 1924 – December 21, 2019
After a wonderful life, we sadly say goodbye to Ruth Ellen Boyce (Clarke) who passed away surrounded by family, on December 21st, 2019 at Terrace Lodge in Alymer. Dearly loved wife of Albert Boyce (1997) and Mom of Cindy and Bruce Vinthers and Ann and Kevin Morland. Sister to Fred and Elinor Clarke, Shirley Hunt (Ron) and Barb Boyce (Eddie) and their families. Loved Grandma of Patty Bell, Paul and Danielle Morland, Jenny and David Fife and Becky Morland and Joe. Proud G.G. to Harrison, Dean, Leah, Molleigh, Aoife, Zoë and Baby Fife.
Ruth and Albert created many happy memories over 60 years in the home they built on Wilton Ave in London and enjoyed spending time at their cottage in Port Stanley. Ruth was always an active community member being involved in Cubs, her church, the Thames Valley Children’s Centre and member of various bird clubs. Ruth loved many things including reading, traveling and music, but most of all, spending time with family.
Please join us to celebrate her life on her 95th birthday, December 31st, 2019 at Trinity Anglican Church, 55 Southwick Street, St.Thomas. Visitation will take place at 10:00 with funeral service at 11:00. Birthday cake to follow in the Parish Hall. As per her request, cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or towards a memorial bench in Port Stanley. Arrangements entrusted to St. Thomas Elgin Cremation.
