repented of his sins in April, 1951, was baptized in Jesus’ Name by
his Pastor, Rev. W.J. Rolston, and received the Holy Spirit on August
17, 1951. It was the first time that he received a Missionary call to
minister in India. He became ill with tuberculosis and spent nine
months in hospital. He was miraculously healed of this disease. He
began his long lifetime Ministry in 1956 and became a fulltime Pastor
in New Denmark and pastored there until 1962. From New Denmark,
Everett and his wife Lois travelled to Corner Brook, Newfoundland to

They then went to Stockton, California to Western Apostolic Bible
School and remained there until 1970.
It was in 1970, Reverend Everett Corcoran and his wife received their
Foreign Mission Appointment. They spent 29 years in total in
Missionary work. They were the first UPC Missionaries to the Islamic
country of Pakistan. Seven months after arriving in Pakistan, war
broke out between Pakistan and India, air raids, curfews, and bombs
falling. Evacuated to Iran for a few weeks, but back to Pakistan for
many years of Missionary endeavor. A bible school was established with
a group of young men graduating every year going into the harvest
field of Pakistan.
In 1988, their work changed to regional and for the next eleven years
they travelled and evangelized in eleven countries; namely Sri Lanka,
India, Burma (Myanmar), Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Thailand,
Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia. During the past 17 years,
Everett and Lois pastored short term in Madawaska, ME, Ste. Anne, NB,
New Denmark, NB, Juniper, NB, and Fielding, NB. Everett has composed
117 Gospel songs, in which many of them were recorded.
Our Pastor and Missionary has blessed thousands with his dynamic
teaching and his fervent worship is now singing in the presence of the
Saviour he adored. He was truly « A man after God’s own
heart ».
