ROGINA, Nick
With a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Grand River Hospital, from a short battle with pancreatic cancer, in his 71st year.
Beloved husband of Maria for 47 years. Loving father of Suzy (Steve) Antolcic and Andrey Rogina (Micheline). Proud Stari Tata to Nikolas, Victoria, Evan, Rya and Sascha. Sadly missed by his brothers, Alojz, Jure (Anica), his sister Angela, his sister-in-law Anica and many nieces and nephews all in Slovenia. Pre-deceased by his parents Jurij and Neza, his brother Bogdan, brother-in-law Janez and his sister-in-law Mari.
Nick loved spending time with his family and friends. In his free time, he had a passion for carpentry and home renovations.
Visitation will be held at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener on Thursday January 2, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Parish, Kitchener on Friday January 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place, Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
