It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maureen Grace (nee Freemark), surrounded by the love of her family, on December 26, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife for 63 years of Pat Grace. Proud and loving mother of Nancy (Denis Levasseur), Janice (Brady Stewart), Karen (Darryl Thrasher), Michael (Karen Kaeding), Andy (Jeff Sansone) and Peggy (Andrew Howarth). Forever loved Granny of Luc, Jaclyn, Danielle, Brett, Blair, Krista (San), Devinne, Scott (Erica), Adam (Blaire), Megan and Brian. Great Granny of Oliver, Emma and Leah. Maureen was born in Renfrew ON to Thomas and Frances (nee Prince) Freemark. She is predeceased by infant son Joseph Terry, son-in-law Kirk Syrie and brothers Andy (Theresa), Stan (Frances), Philip, Lorne (Diana), Tommy (Della), Frank (Gert) and sisters Marjorie Humphrey (Herc) and Trudy Tomlin (Hank). Sister-in-law and dear friend of Louise Freemark. Maureen had a deep devotion to her family and faith, and her love had no bounds. She was the heart of her family, and they are forever grateful and blessed by her life. Maureen’s courage and strength in her final few months were an inspiration to all those around her. Maureen was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and past President of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Women’s League and a long time Member of the Auxiliary of Pembroke Regional Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Thursday morning January 2nd at 11:00 o’clock in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 280 Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke. Maureen’s family will welcome guests at the church starting at 10:00 o’clock. Spring interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew. In memory of Maureen, donations to Pembroke Regional Hospital would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Pembroke.
