Barry ; Marilyn Ann (nee Ormston)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Ann
Barry on December 11, 2019 at the age of 85. Marilyn was the cherished
wife of Ronald Barry for more than 64 years. Her children, Kathryn
Benes (Jack) and Ronald Scott Barry (Loretta Edwards) deeply mourn her
passing. Marilyn’s love of cooking has left her grandchildren,
Alexandra Benes and Sarah Benes (J’Neene Messina) many wonderful
memories through her best recipes. She leaves behind her loving
brother Norris Ormston (Rosina), sister-in-law and friend Carol
Willis, and many nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Marilyn.
Marilyn was an avid reader and gifted cook. She loved to spoil
friends and family. She was the one we all counted on to take care of
whatever needed doing. She was our rock. Dementia took away many of
the joys she had in life but her love of family and her sense of
humour held strong to the end. Cremation has taken place. We will
celebrate the lives of Marilyn and Ron together at a later date. They
are now together forever and at peace. Donations to either Hospice
Niagara or Niagara Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated for
the support they have given our family.
