Obituary of Heather Linda Jones
Heather Linda Jones, 71 of Weymouth. On December 16, 2019, our sweet mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend left her home here on earth to fly with the angels and her Lord.
She will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, love, laughter and song. In knowing her, we are better; for having her in our lives, we are forever loved and cherished. She left this world a better place and her love remains in all the lives she touched.
It is with hearts full of love and hope that we say, until we meet again – rest easy dear mama, you are loved beyond measure, forever a part of all of us.
Heather is survived by her husband of 40 years, John as well as her sons Dean (Sue) Jones, Weymouth; Adrian (Vicki) Jones, Porters Lake; Cereno Jones, Las Vegas; Clare Jones, San Fransico; daughters Julie Leavitt, Digby; Andrea Jones, Santa Barbara; Lenore (Jamie) Sweeney, Annapolis; Rachel Jones, Weymouth; Bethany (Yusef) Labyad, Ottawa; Sarah Jones, Halifax; Coleen McNeil, Waterville; Angela (Kurt) Mayer, Virginia; brothers Peter McNeil, Weymouth; Donald (Rosa) McNeil, Halifax; Edward (Lois) McNeil, New Brunswick; sister Mary McNutt, Kentville; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved mother Mildred Esther McNeil, father Wilfred McNeil, brothers Lloyd, Charles and Raymond McNeil.
A Celebration of Life & Love will be held on December 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Weymouth Church of Christ with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Heather’s memory may be made to Operation Smile Canada or Doctors without Borders. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
