Obituary
Yole, David William – It is with deep sadness that we announce that David William Yole of Barrie, Ontario, died suddenly on December 4, 2019. He was 59 years old, and was a well-loved and highly regarded professor at Georgian College.
David was born on December 25, 1959 in Vancouver, British Columbia, to Raymond and Eileen (Crowther) Yole.
He is survived by his son Dylan, mother-in-law Elsie McGuire, father Raymond, brother John (Arcel), sisters Elizabeth and Margaret, niece Meghan, nephew Gareth, partner Michelle, and cousins Kathy (John), Debbie (Paul), Gwen (Richard), Doug (Karen), Janet (Willi) and Joan (Cam).
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth (McGuire) Yole, father-in-law Jim McGuire, and mother Eileen.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, 2019 starting at 3:00pm at Parkview Community Centre in Barrie.
For those wishing to honour David’s memory, the family suggests making a donation of blood to Canadian Blood Services, of money and/or musical instruments to a music program (such as Guitars for Vets vetscanada.org/guitars-for-vets.php), or to the Ruth & David Yole Memorial Scholarship (Georgian College).
