Bruce Earl Gates
1952-2019
Bruce Earl Gates – 67, of Dartmouth,
passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in the Dartmouth General
Hospital. Born in Kentville, he was the son of the late Bruce and
Mildred (Langille) Gates. Bruce was a kind and generous man who loved
to bake. For several years, he was employed as a head baker
in Hubbard’s NS. In his early years, Bruce also loved walking,
cycling, dancing and country music. Throughout his lifetime, he was
blessed with an amazing group of friends and extended
family. He is survived by his wife, Grace Stevenson-Gates; a
daughter, Sarah Gates (Rochelle Braganza); a granddaughter, Ella; a
step-daughter-in-law, Marisa Wright; step-grandchildren, Whitney,
Katrina and Atarah; step great grandchildren, Hunter and Jace; several
nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by
a step-son, Stephen Regan. Cremation has
taken place and there will be no visitation by request. It is with
broken hearts that we say goodbye to Bruce, however, we all take great
comfort in knowing he is now at peace. Please join us to celebrate his
life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville. A reception will be held at the Meadowview
Community Center. Donations may be made to the family. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
