Betty’s Obituary
Penney, Betty Marie – 68, of Clark’s Harbour. It is with great sadness the family would like to announce her peaceful passing on December 8, 2019 in Roseway Hospital. Betty was born in Yarmouth, May 1, 1951, to parents, Owen and Leona (Cottreau) Symonds. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She enjoyed everything Christmas, reading and playing bingo. Betty is survived by her husband, Harold Penney; parents, Owen and Leona Symonds; daughter, Kary (Darren) Penney; son, Anthony Swim; grandchildren, Jasmine (William) Thomson, Dustin Melanson, Tyrell Corning, Ezmay Goulden, Sawyer and Darian Swim; great-grandchildren, Rory and Sam Thomson all of Clark’s Harbour; sisters, Leora-Lee White of Clark’s Harbour and Susan (Shawn) Townsend of North East Point; nephew, Owen Nickerson of Shelburne. There will be a visitation on Tuesday December 10, from 6-8 pm and Wednesday, December 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will be on Thursday December 12 at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
