Kenny Sock

1964-2019

Kenny Sock

ELSIPOGTOG, NB – It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Joseph "Kenny" Sock at his residence on Tuesday, November 19, 2019.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Howard Sock and Elizabeth "Lulu" (Peters) Sock.

Kenny could often be found sailing his pontoon down the Richibucto River, sitting outside his camper during the summer months and spending time in his "man cave" during the winter. Kenny was a devoted teacher at Bonar Law Memorial School in Rexton for 24 years.  He loved boating, fly tying, fly fishing and camping at Jardine Park with his friends and family. Kenny will also be remembered for being a great goalie for Big Cove Hawks and Big Cove Red Wings.

Kenny will be sadly missed by his mother, Elizabeth "Lulu" Sock; his wife, Wendy (Milliea) Sock; two sons, Kameron Sock, Catlin Sock (Krystal) and one adored grandson, Emerik all of Elsipogtog.

He is also survived by one sister, Sharon Sock (Kirby); two brothers, Stewart Sock, Jason Sock (Lani); mother-in-law, Norma Milliea; two sisters-in-law, Denise Augustine (Park), Sue-Anne Sock (Jumbo); one brother-in-law, David Milliea (Jennifer) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends. He will be sadly missed by the staff and students of Bonar Law.

He was predeceased by his father, Howard Sock; one son, Baylen Jay Simon and his father-in-law, Joe Milliea.

Visitation will be held at his home, 272 Levi Street, Elsipogtog beginning on Saturday at 1:00 pm until time of the service.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:30 am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
