It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pietro Mercuri on November 14, 2019, devoted husband of Caterina Mercuri.
He also leaves to mourn his loving children Giovanni (Rosalina), Rosa (the late Pietro), Anna Pierina (Antonio) and Giovanna Julia (Franco), his adored grandchildren Giovanni (Fleur), Pietro (Nadia), Vito (Dina), Roberto (Tracy) Paolo (Jessica), Marco, Franco Jr. (Diana), Katherine-Marie (Frédéric) and Victor, and his cherished great-grandchildren Giuliana, Olivia, Erica, Alessandra, Luca, Ethan, Emma, Stella, Sofia, Mackenzie, Matteo, Siena, Matylda, Franco III and Juliette. He will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends in Canada, USA, Australia, and his hometown of Platania, Catanzaro, Italy.
The family will receive condolences at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 2125 Notre-Dame, Lachine (www.jjcardinal.ca 514-639-1511) on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 6 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. A funeral mass and burial will be held at a later date in his hometown of Platania, Catanzaro, Italy.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lachine Hospital Foundation (5th floor) would be greatly appreciated.
