Norman Edwin Nicholson
Norman E. Nicholson, 91, of
Villa du Repos, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday,
November 20, 2019.
Born in Bayside, he was the
son of the late Harman and Hattie Lavina (Polly)
Nicholson.
Norman was a former employee
of Mitton’s Dairy (Milkman) and in past years, had several
other occupations. He enjoyed bowling, playing darts, hunting, camping
and socializing with his family and friends. Dad was a very strong man
for his size. At 83, he was still working three jobs. One in
particular that he was proudest of was School Crossing Guard. He was
awarded «Maritimer of the Week» for this particular
job and he considered this one of his greatest
accomplishments.
Norman will be sadly missed by
his daughters, Jean Woods (Derek «Terry») of Moncton
and Joyce Nicholson-Heustis (Ronald) of Dartmouth, NS and son, Lee
Nicholson of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Dolores Nicholson of Moncton;
granddaughter, Lisa and grandson, Troy; great granddaughters, Sadie
and Taylor;
sister-in-law, Henrietta of Riverview and several
nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Mary (Niles) Nicholson of 63 years;
brother, Lawrence «Bud» Nicholson and an infant
sister.
Visitation at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday,
November 25, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed immediately by a
Service to celebrate and honour Norman’s life in Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception
following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment
will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin.
In memory of Norman, donations
to the Greater Moncton SPCA, Friends of The Moncton Hospital or a
memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online
