It is with much sorrow to announce that Dennis has gone on to his next adventure after a 10 year struggle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Born to run before crawling in Dunedin, New Zealand on May 30, 1930. It could be said that the day he was born the trumpets sounded and the heavenly angels burst into song and a voice was heard « look out below »
Left to mourn with many special memories is the love of his life and best friend Lorna (Quast) Proud father of Doug (Judi), Scott (Joan) and Todd (Kim). Grandad Pete to 8 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Brother to Pressly (Stoke, New Zealand), uncle to several nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Mervin (Carol) Quast, Nepean.
A man of many hats from self employment in New Zealand and Canada to farming, case worker and manager with Children’s Aid, community consultant Addiction Research, creator of a tent and trailer park, municipal politics and woodworker. He lived life passionately and with a vision. Along with many other things he taught his boys to be kind gentlemen and fall a tree where you want it to be.
A special thanks to Dr. Clarke and the Continuing Care Staff at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for caring.
Professional services have been entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. In memory of Dennis give a smile and do a kind deed. Tributes and condolences can be left online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
