It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bride Marie Pretty announce her passing surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Raymond (Valerie) Pretty, Calvin (Sandra) Pretty, Sylvia (Brian) Worthington and Sandra (Bert) Taylor; grandchildren: Michael Pretty (Nicole), Alison (Wayne) Milley, Travis Worthington (Aimee), Jeremy Worthington, Jared Worthington (Sarah) and Bradley Taylor; great-grandchildren: Faith, Violet and Russell; sister Elizabeth Martin; sister-in-law: Mame Day and Marjorie Noble; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harold “Hop” Pretty, parents John and Martha Noble, infant brother David Noble, brothers Bruce, Frank and Malcolm Noble. A special thank you to Mountainview Estates, the Bungalows, Wheelers Road, Protective Care and 3 North at Corner Brook Long Term Care. Thank you to Dr. Ahmed, nursing staff of the Emergency Department and 3rd Floor, Dr. Lafferty and her exceptional team at the Palliative Care Unit. To Captains Darren and Danette Woods and Rev. Charlene Laing thank you for your many visits. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. from The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Captains Darren and Danette Woods officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
