Aurèle was born to Yvonne (Chevrier) & Paul-Emile Doran on May 14, 1934, 10 miles south of Girouxville. He attended Lefebvre Country School until 1946 when the Doran family moved to the town of Falher. He then attended Falher School for a few more years. He was kept from school during spring seeding and harvest time and during winter months when roads were not even passable with horses.
In 1962, he married Isabelle Brulotte. Together, they raised 3 sons. They made their home on the farm until the fall 1970, when they moved to the town of Falher. In 1982, they built a house and returned to the farm.
During off seasons, Aurèle would work at different jobs to supplement the household income. In 2001, he retired on the acreage. He died at Manoir du Lac in McLennan on November 10, 2019.
He is pre-deceased by son Allen; his parents; sister Alice; and, brothers Philip and Roger.
Aurèle is survived by wife Isabelle; sons Donald and Gary (Jocelyne); grandchildren Mathieu and Chelsea; sisters Liliane Hachey and Simone Florence; many nieces and nephews.
Donations in Aurèle’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
