Obituary of Anthony Charles Pountney
Pountney Anthony Charles (Tony)
Unexpectedly due to illness, Tony passed on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in
his 52nd year. Loving husband and high school sweetheart of Suzanne
(Cardinal) Pountney. Best dog father to MacGregor, Dozer and Murphy. Son
of Marie-Elaine and the late Richard Pountney. Son-in-law of Colleen and
the late Donald Cardinal. Loved brother of Timothy Pountney (Fern
Livingstone) and the late Samantha Pountney. He will be missed by
brothers-in-law Chris Cardinal (Lynn May) and Andrew Cardinal (Kendra) and
sister-in-law Rebecca Cardinal (Greg Ostrom). Proudest Uncle of Katie
(Aaron), Jonathan (Laura), Jessica (Bilal) and Courtney. He will be sadly
missed by so many cousins, pseudo-nieces and nephews and friends. Tony was
not a man of many words but he was a poet. He was the most loyal friend,
always ready to help with a project. He was happiest fishing at the lake,
snuggling with his puppies and sharing his poetry. Visitors will be
received at Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, London, on Friday,
November 22nd from 6 – 9 p.m. where the Memorial Funeral Service will be
held on Saturday, November 23rd at 2 o’clock. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Humane Society London & Middle (hsln.ca) would be
appreciated.
