Alma May Day (nee Osbourne)
April 24, 1933 – November 14, 2019
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alma May Day of Old Shop in her 86th year. On November 14, 2019, she passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Herbert (Duke); son, Wayne; parents, John and Edna; infant daughter; and brother, Don.
Leaving to mourn with much love and cherished memories are her children, Jean (Carl) Hefford, Reginald (Ellen) Day, Sandra (Tony) Higdon, Beverly (Gerald) Baldwin, Glenda (Craig) Boone, and Jacquelyn Day; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Day; as well as her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, special home care workers, and many friends.
At her request, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo on Sunday, November 17, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and Monday, November 18, 2:00 pm – 4:00pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 19 at 11:00 am from All Saint’s Anglican Church, Dildo with inurnment to follow at Holy Spirit Anglican Cemetery, Old Shop.
Flowers were a lifelong love of hers and will be gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
