Toshiko “Bette” Nagamori
1926 – 2019
On the morning of October 13th, 2019, at the age of 93, Bette Nagamori passed away peacefully at the Maples Personal Care Home.
She was born in Port Hammond, BC and will carry on in loving memory with her sons Gary and Russell Nagamori; her grandchildren Russell Jr., Sara, and Kiyo Nagamori; her sisters-in-law Irene and Tomoko Tatsumi; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Seido Nagamori; her brothers Eiji, Suehiro, and Yoshio Tatsumi; her sisters Yae Sawa and Sadako Tatsumi; her brother-in-law Terry Sawa; and her parents Suekichi and Yana Tatsumi.
In the wake of Bette’s passing, her grandchildren reconnect to remember their Bachan’s good humor and hospitality, adventures in the motorhome, and happy evenings eating slices of her legendary pumpkin, apple, and blueberry pies.
The family is deeply grateful to nieces Marlene, Karen, and Joanne for their loving and dedicated support. The family also expresses gratitude to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for the kind and professional care they provided.
Funeral service and interment will be held in private.
