Obituary of Sandra Carmela Pleau
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Welland Hospital on October 12, 2019 at the age of 61 years. She is at peace now. Sandra was born and raised in Humberstone. She was married to Andre Pleau in 1984, where they raised two loving children; Kristina and Justin.
She will be sadly missed by her sister Connie Rothwell (Pat), her aunt Jean Dagenais and by her brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandra will also be missed by her pets who she adopted from the Humane Society; Amber, Coco, Mr. Darcy and Hocus Pocus. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Viola Avolio, her aunt Lena Ferri and her nephew Derek Pleau.
Sandra was very caring with children. She worked with Day Care and 30 years with Community Living. She coached Special Olympics for 25 years.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place in the Armstrong Chapel on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Walton officiating. There will be a private family interment of ashes at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Welland and District Humane Society.
