Ruby Jean Shaw
1933-2019
Ruby Jean Shaw of Simonds passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at
the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland. She was born April 22,
1933 and was the daughter of the late Ivan and Bernice Graham. She was
also predeceased by her husband, Harold Shaw; sister, Esther (George)
Simpson; brother, Franklin Graham; sisters-in-law, Anne Graham, Nadine
(Malcolm) Graham; brother-in-law, Gerald (Helen) Shaw
Ruby is survived by her five children, Dianne (Danny) Neale of Neapan,
ON. Barbara (Dwight) Dean of Deer Isle, ME, Dean (Dorinda) Shaw of
Lanesborough, MA, Sherry (Mark) Atwater of Simonds, NB, Mark (Teresa)
Shaw of Wycliff, BC; 12 grandchildren, Rebecca (Shawn) Vankeeken,
Robbie (Kelly) Dean, David (Marianne) Dean, Joshua (Jennifer) Dean,
Shawn (LeeAnn) Dean, Harmony (Jim) Fowler, Andrew (Kelsey) Shaw,
Rachel (Matt) Keesee, Stephen (Connie) Shaw, Sabrina (Michel)
Brosseau, Holly (Jay) Phillips, Jeffrey Shaw; 35 great grandchildren,
Hallie, Eli, David, Grace, Sarah, Emily, Erin, Samuel, William,
Gabriel, Jacob, Juliann, Lilian, Emma, Isaiah, Calvin, Aida, Joseph,
Tessa, Daniel, Judah, Maple, Levi, Patience, Wesley, Silas, Simon,
Quentin, Lydia, Sabrina, Samuel, Nathan, Ruby, Ezekiel, Mirabell;
brother, John Graham; sisters-in-law, Gloria Graham, Amy (Robert)
Littlejohn; brothers-in-law, Cecil (Shirley) Shaw, Monte (Helen) Shaw;
nieces and nephews.
The family wants to express a special thank you to Pam Trenholm,
Ruby’s primary care giver for the past five years. Also they
want to thank all of Ruby’s care givers and the staff of the
Central Carleton Nursing home for all that you have done for her.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street,
Hartland, on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral
service will be on Saturday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. from the
Hartland Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Dean and Rev Dan Austin
officiating. The interment will be in the Simonds Cemetery. If so
desired, donations can be made to the Simonds Cemetery or the Hartland
