Our kind and gentle Bob left us on Oct 4. As a brother, uncle and friend his lasting impact will never leave any of us. If you knew Bob, you were touched by Bob. He was kind, smart, gentle and brave. But as a good friend describes, he was not a saint. After all, everyone likes to have a little fun sometimes – yeah right.
Bob was born and raised in Lethbridge Alberta where he maintained lifelong friendships. After high school Bob travelled around the world visiting countries that many of us weren’t even aware of at the time. Along the way he picked up lifelong friends and embraced their friends. A move from the east coast to White Rock led to the opening of Robert’s Ice Cream and the making of more lifelong friends. A career as an ESL teacher in and around the lower mainland meant more friends, as did a move to the Sundial Apartments. Because, to know Bob was to love Bob. So sadly, missed by all who knew and couldn’t help but love him.
