Robert “Bob” Elwood Lyon
It is with great sadness that the family announces that Bob passed away peacefully on Tuesday Oct 15, 2019 at the Rosamond Unit of the Almonte General Hospital, after a courageous battle for several years with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Helen Lyon and proud father to Barry (Janice), Richard (Nang) and David (Alison). He was predeceased by his sister Suzanne and tragically predeceased by his beautiful grand-daughter Pearl Lyon. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Samantha, Isabella, Connor and Kyle. He is survived by his sister Ruth Baker (Robert), and brother Stephen Lyon (Barbara) and their 2 children Jordan and Alexandra of Ottawa and brother-in-law Hugh Latimer of Winnipeg as well as nieces and nephews, William Latimer (Karen), Kimberly Latimer-Carr (Alan), Kevin Baker (Nicole), Deborah Baker (Robin). He will be missed by other family members and many friends.
Many thanks to Dr Roger Drake for his excellent care. We wish to thank the nurses and other support staff at the Rosamond Unit (AGH).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 28 Hawthorne Street, Carleton Place, on Saturday October 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.
For those who wish, a donation to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family.
