It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Joyce announce his passing on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook in his 79th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his partner and best friend, Edna; her children Brent (Giselle), Billy (Debra) and their children Ethan and Andrew; and Carolann (Maurizio); brothers and sisters: Percy (Rose), Madeline (Bob Rooksby), Marguerite (Peter Whelan), William (Linda), Theresa Joyce, Greg (Fran), Veronica (Ray Hickey), Kevin, Norbert (Judy) and Eddie (Heather); sisters-in-law: Janet Joyce, Pat Colbourne, Betty Colbourne, Bernice (Leighton) Patey, Mabel (Norm) Tiller and Mary (Garf) Compton; special friend Jack Pennell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Percival and Mary Joyce, brother Bern, Rod and Nicholas; brothers-in-law Ern and Willie Colbourne. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday evening, 7-9 and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral service will be held Friday, October 25th at 10:30 Am from Sacred Heart Parish with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Mt Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
