Mark’s Obituary
Mark grew up and attended school in Regina, Saskatchewan. He graduated from the University of Regina in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. In 2009, he married the love of his life, Jocelyn (Lanoie) Hanson. Mark had a passion for Taekwondo. He was involved in the sport throughout his childhood and early adulthood as both an instructor and athlete, where he won medals nationally and internationally. Mark was a phenomenal family man who was ever-present in the lives of his loving wife, Jocelyn, and his beloved children, Brayden and Tenley. He was so proud of their accomplishments and was a strong support and source of encouragement at their activities in music, skating, and cheer. Mark enjoyed travel, golf, archery, hunting, and atv excursions at the Lanoie Ranch. He was a big football fan, attending many Saskatchewan Roughrider Games and watching his Pittsburgh Steelers on TV. Mark was an entrepreneur and enjoyed being involved in the local Chamber of Commerce and special projects with the City of Moose Jaw. Mark is survived by his wife, Jocelyn, and children, Brayden (5) and Tenley (3) of Moose Jaw, SK; parents, Gerald and Patricia Hanson of Armstrong, B.C.; sister, Lee Hanson of Los Angeles, California; in-laws, Roger and Joan Lanoie of St. Victor, SK, and brother/sister-in-law, Lyndon and Brie Lanoie and their children, James and Ryder of Moose Jaw, SK; among many other colleagues, family, and friends. At the request of the family a private family service will be held. In living memory of Mark, a memorial tree planting will take place by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.a
