The morning of Saturday October 26th 2019, in her 84th year, Marion Lois McPhail passed away peacefully sitting on her bed, singing a song.
As age dictates, sometimes the body breaks down. She was accepting of death and ready to join her husband George, who she thought of, missed, and longed for every day since his passing in 2008. Her ashes will be spread with her husband so they can be forever together, as it should be.
She had the gift for gab and loved to be the center of attention. She was attentive, caring, loving, and always present. She sewed clothes for her daughters, satin dresses and bonnets for Easter, and velvet dresses for Christmas. She enjoyed bowling, had numerous hobbies, and loved her scratch tickets.
She leaves behind an incredible group of family and friends that loved her, but didn’t always get her sarcastic wit, which she made sure to point out. She was always up for Georges shenanigans at the expense of their friends. She loved spending time with her many grandchildren playing games and having bonfires. Her and George had a great love for the outdoors, always taking the “backway” whenever travelling to enjoy the scenery.
A special thank you to Dr. Nizzero, Dr. Schulka and Dr. Dugas at Health Sciences North for taking care of our Beloved Marion.
