Obituary for Keith Ritchie
Peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home in Petrolia on Saturday October 12, 2019, Frederick KEITH RITCHIE, passed away in his 94th year. Beloved husband to the late Betty Ritchie (nee McIntyre)(2002). Loving father to Gayle (Gary) Griffiths, Mary Anne (John) McCharles, Janet (Todd) Lozon, and Rene (Oliver) Meier. Proud grandpa to 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Adeline Ritchie and his brother Russell and his wife Pat Ritchie. Born in Lucknow, Keith and his wife Betty moved to Petrolia in 1948. An active member of Trinity Anglican Church in Sarnia, Keith, a WWII veteran, retired from Ontario Hydro as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. During his retirement he became involved with the Two Cylinder Club and the Steam Threshers. The family would like to thank the caring and dedicated staff at Fiddick’s Nursing Home where Dad lived for the past 2 ½ years. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, with visiting one hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Lucknow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army (salvationarmy.ca) or a charity of your choice.
