Georgia Peter, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior’s Community on Saturday, October 05, 2019. She was 92.
Born in Hanover, Ontario on July 16, 1927 to the late Charles and Ruth (nee Litt) Banks. Georgia worked along side her husband Lloyd at KFC Franchise in Owen Sound.
Survived by loving husband Lloyd Peter of Hanover. Loved mother of Terry Peter (Judy Strathearn) of Gillies Lake, Darell (Ronda) Peter of Neustadt, Kim Peter (Patricia Carmount) of Hanover, Vicki (Don) Mullin of Rockwood and Sherry Rowland of London. Special grandmother of Jason, Niki, Jaime, Josh, Samantha, Justin, Devon, Jackie, Steven, Brittany, Brady, Sydney and 13 great grandchildren. Loved sister of Lorraine Helwig of Hanover, Harriet (Cliff) Rier of St. Thomas, Dawn (Jim) Davies of Port Elgin and sister in law Helen Banks of Hanover. Predeceased by her son Brett, brothers Ray and Bev Banks and brother in law Glen Helwig.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 7-9 pm with a Memorial Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11 am. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church or to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
