Your heart was so tired,
Your bones were so sore.
Your body just couldn’t
Go on any more.
Your soul is at peace now,
And your body is at rest.
As much as it hurts,
We know it’s for the best.
We are so lucky
To call you our Dad.
You were the best
We ever could’ve had.
You taught us so much
And raised us right.
We understand Dad,
You could no longer fight.
You were so sincere,
A kind-hearted soul.
As a father, husband, and grandpa,
You fulfilled your roles.
To protect us, and love us
And also to provide.
Whatever we needed,
You were always by our side.
You made mom so happy,
And took care of her till the end.
I’m not so sure,
Our hearts will ever mend.
But one day again,
We will see you up there.
We can all walk together
Without a single care.
Our dearest Dad,
Thank you for all.
You gave us everything
But had to go answer your call.
We will see you again,
When it’s our turn to fly.
Until then, we will think of you,
When we look to the sky.
