After a battle that was just too much for him, David a loving brother and uncle passed away on October 10, 2019 at the Franklin Gardens LTC at 71 years of age. Dear son of the late Robert S. (1991) and Thelma Piper (2014). Loving brother of Robert W. (Marilyn) and Lisa Matis (Tom). Loved uncle of Renee Piper, Robert L. Piper (Stacey), Hannah Matis and Daniel Matis. Great-uncle of Jessica Brown (Kyle), Ashley Brown (Jake), R. J. Piper and Shailynn Piper. Great-great uncle of Hayley Brockman. Dave worked for Maedel’s and Stokley’s for several years and he retired from Ready Bake in Es. Dave had a passion for horse racing, golf, hockey (Maple Leafs) and baseball (Blue Jays). He was a trivia and movie buff and will be remembered for his kindness and compassion towards others. David is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Limited (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. N, Es, on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 friends and family are invited gather after 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (92 St. Paul St. Es) followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
