It is with heavy hearts we announce that David Glen Wilson (Dave) passed away at home, surrounded by his beloved family, in Horse Hill (Edmonton), AB on October 6, 2019 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 58 years old.
Dave was born on September 25, 1961 in Edmonton, AB to Donald and Shirlie Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jackie (Clark); daughter Ellie and sons, Samuel and Joseph. He is also survived by his mother, Shirlie, sisters Pat Lower (Dave), Leslie DuPerron (Richard) and Arlene McCaslin (Ken) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Don.
David was first and foremost a man of great faith, a wonderful husband and devoted father. Dave and Jackie had many opportunities to travel the world before settling down on the Clark family farm in Horse Hill. Dave was a talented artist who turned his focus to developing the Horse Hill Raspberry farm with his wife which became the only u-pick raspberry farm in the Edmonton area. He was deeply rooted and valued in their community of friends and neighbors. He will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 11 am, at Steele Heights Baptist Church (5812-149 Avenue). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dave’s life.
